Terms of Service

1. Agreement

By accessing or using StarHQ ("Service"), operated at starhq.app, you agree to these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

"You" refers to the individual or business entity creating an account. "We," "us," and "our" refer to StarHQ.

2. Description of Service

StarHQ provides:

• Tools to collect written testimonials and star ratings from your customers via shareable collection pages.
• A form builder to create custom forms for capturing leads, feedback, surveys, and other responses.
• A studio to design and embed testimonial widgets on your website.
• A management inbox to review, approve, and organize submitted testimonials and form responses.
• Integrations with Slack, Stripe, and third-party tools to automate workflows around new submissions.

3. Account Registration

• You must provide accurate and complete information when creating an account.
• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.
• You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Fabricate, purchase, or solicit fake testimonials or form responses.
• Use the Service to collect data from individuals without their consent.
• Use the embedded widgets or collection pages to mislead visitors.
• Violate any applicable law or regulation, including data protection laws (GDPR, CCPA).
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, copy, or resell the Service.
• Use the Service to spam, harass, or harm others.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules without prior notice.

5. Your Content

You retain ownership of all testimonials, form responses, and other data collected through your StarHQ account. By using the Service, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to store, process, and display that data solely to provide the Service to you.

You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to collect and store the data submitted through your forms and collection pages, including obtaining any required consents from your customers.

6. Embeds and Public Pages

• Embedded widgets and public testimonial pages are served by StarHQ infrastructure. Availability depends on your active subscription.
• If your subscription lapses, public collection pages and embedded widgets may be disabled.

7. AI Features

• StarHQ uses AI to provide features such as testimonial summarization and smart suggestions.
• AI-generated content is provided for your convenience. You are responsible for reviewing it before use.
• We do not guarantee the accuracy or appropriateness of AI-generated output.

8. Billing and Payments

• Paid plans are billed monthly or annually as selected at checkout.
• Prices are listed on our pricing page and may change with 30 days' notice.
• Payments are processed securely by Stripe (international) or Razorpay (India). We do not store payment card details.
• You may cancel your subscription at any time. Access continues until the end of your current billing period. No refunds for partial periods.

9. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its design, code, and underlying technology, is owned by StarHQ. You retain ownership of your data and content. The StarHQ name, logo, and branding may not be used without permission.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, StarHQ is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service.

Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

11. Service Availability

We strive for high uptime but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We are not responsible for downtime caused by third-party services, force majeure, or scheduled maintenance announced in advance.

12. Termination

• You may close your account at any time from your dashboard or by emailing us.
• We may suspend or terminate your account for violation of these Terms, non-payment, or if required by law.
• Upon termination, your data is deleted within 30 days, except where required by law.

13. Modifications

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email or in-app notification at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.

14. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of India.
